Genres/Don't Touch
Don't touch games, or don't press the button games, or don't poke, etc etc, are games where you touch a certain thing, let's say a chicken wing for example. Once you touch the chicken wing which would usually be near spawn, you get teleported to a thing where the chicken wing says "Ow? Why did you eat a bit of me?" And usually, you will see colored blocks near the chicken wing which have a sign on them where you can do actions which are usually like "Don't eat" "be friends with (heart required) or more things.
Origin
Well the writer of this article (noobarmy555) started playing blockate around the start of 2019 or the end of 2018, so this might not be accurate. Anyways, around like, july or june of 2019, these games started to get popular. It was popularized by "don't press the button". Then, someone made "the cake is a lie". Then after that "don't touch my block" popped up. That was when don't press the button games became don't touch games.
What roblox game is this genre based off?
The title and object you have to press is probably based off Don't Press The Button (real roblox game, not on blockate) which is a game like the normal elevator.
The concept was probably based off THIS IS NO SIMULATOR! . THIS IS NO SIMULATOR was popularized by Nathorix because he made a video on it.
my thoughts
They're not that great. I made one of my own but I don't really like it. (i wanted to put the title here but i dont wanna advertise) Also, they're just awful. They steal the front page like gold. It's really annoying to see the owners be like "WERE ON FRONT PAGE EVERYBODY!!!" Like seriously, it shouldn't be a surprise to see an unoriginal copy be on the front page.

In a don't touch game called Sweet Dreams, roblox bans you for poking them. Obviously they would never do this.
