Material drop down menu in Building Properties

Materials give blocks a texture and depth. They can be changed to different types of materials and paired with color. You can use Z/X to change the material when you have the correct permission level.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • On July 17th 2024 fewkz would add new materials for a few minutes before being removed shortly after.[1][2]
    • It was removed due to the materials not appearing in-game as the materials wasn't released fully by Roblox at that time.
    • Due to this removal, blocks that had the new materials couldn't be copied using Alt until the September 21st, 2024 update.
  • The Forcefield material is the only material to be added without along side other materials.
